A plane crashed into the sea during the takeoff from the Félix-Houphouët-Boigny International Airport near Abidjan, Ivory Coast at around 8:30 am local time.

According to the preliminary reports it might be a cargo plane of a company that was carrying equipments for the French army, Koaci.com reports. Some media suggested it might be an Antonov An-26 cargo plane. According to Reuters, it was a propeller-engine cargo plane.
The Ivorian security minister said that four people from Moldova were killed in the crash, adding that four French citizens were among six injured. Reuters reported citing souces that the French nationals were soldiers; no official confirmation from Paris has been issued so far.
