The Argentinian capital witnessed the traditional waiter race this weekend. Every year hundreds of waiters gather in Buenos Aires to test their skills. Terms and conditions: waiter should finish while carrying a loaded tray. This year, waiters had their speed and mobility tested in a 1.6 km race. The participants were split into groups by age.
Dressed in their uniforms, people run holding a tray with glasses and bottles. Each participant should hold a tray with only one hand. For sure, winning the race means being the first to pass the finish line with all items on the tray untouched.
This unusual tradition began in 1908 when 7 local waiters decided to find out who was the fastest.
