The military cooperation between Turkey and Azerbaijan prescribes strengthening of relations and holding joint drills.

ANKARA (Sputnik) — Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has ratified a Turkey-Azerbaijan military agreement, local media reported Saturday.

According to Turkey's official Resmi Gazete, the document prescribes strengthening of relations and holding joint drills in such areas as underwater attack, underwater defense and preparation of qualified divers.

The agreement was signed in Ankara on May 5, 2017. The two countries have already conducted joint tactical exercises in May and June under the cooperation accord.
