MOSCOW (Sputnik) — A 5.4 earthquake hit the Philippines’ island of Luson, just 50 kilometers (31 miles) to the southeast of the country’s capital city of Manila, the US Geological Service said on Sunday.
According to the USGS, the quake occurred at 10:21 p.m. local time (14:21 GMT). The epicenter of the event was located at the depth of some 124 miles.
No casualties or damages caused by the earthquake have been reported.
