Los Angeles Police have arrested Bruce Douglas Paddock, 59, the brother of Stephen Paddock, for the possession of over 600 pornographic images involving children and on charges of sexually exploiting children.
He was apprehended in North Hollywood on Wednesday and is being held at the LAPD’s Metropolitan Detention Center, detectives said in their press release.
They confirmed that the man is the brother of Stephen Paddock, the gunman who opened fire in Las Vegas on October 1 on the attendees of a musical festival. The event, which left 58 people dead and hundreds injured, is considered the Deadliest Massacre in US History.

The law enforcers said that the investigation of Bruce Paddock was not connected with the shooting and was launched earlier, "after evidence was discovered inside a business in the Sun Valley area of Los Angeles," where he was squatting. The evidence, which emerged after his eviction, suggested that he had more than 600 images of child pornography.

Paddock, they said, was homeless and "could not be located" until recently at the 5300 block of Laurel Canyon Boulevard.
LAPD has released the photo of the man "in case there may be the victims of unreported incidents."
