Zoo staff decided to take the cub from the biological mother, because she had killed her newborns on a previous occasion.
Tessie has four of own newborn puppies, but she did not reject the foundling. The dog feeds and licks the little cub like it was her own.
"The dog has been feeding the cub for three weeks. The baby is gaining weight and it's trying to play, biting her adoptive mother and feeling very well," zoo veterinarian Viktor Agafonov said.
