MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin said Sunday that he had discussed cooperation with the Chinese officials in a number of sectors, such as space, aviation, and nuclear sphere.

"The negotiations "in a narrow circle" with Wang Yang, the member of the Politburo Standing Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC): cooperation in space, aviation, and nuclear industry," Rogozin said on his Twitter account.

As a part of the talks, the Russian delegation visited an automobile plant in Chongqing.

In recent years, the level of cooperation between Russia and China has drastically increased, particularly in the spheres of energy, economy, and defense. The two governments are reportedly going to sign an agreement on joint space exploration covering lunar to deep space exploration, special materials development, Earth remote sensing, space debris research and satellite systems.
