In a shocking twist to the story in which Kevin Spacey is facing allegations of trying to seduce Star Trek’s Anthony Rapp 30 years ago, the Oscar-winning actor’s brother has come forward sharing horrors from their childhood.
“Kevin Spacey was brought up by a Nazi father who raped his brother and brutalized his family so badly that they called him The Creature,” Fowler exclusively told DailyMail.com.
Fowler who is now 62 said his and Spacey's white supremacist dad, Thomas Geoffrey Fowler, abused him for years and beat up Spacey and their sister Julie in the "house of horrors" home they grew up in, while their mother Kathleen turned a blind eye to the whole situation.
Fowler went on to claim that their childhood had disturbing consequences for the rest of their lives. He went through three marriages and 40 affairs while he refused to have children of his own in case they would "inherit the sexual predator gene."
He further said the siblings felt "trapped" and weren't allowed to have friends at the house, where their father kept the walls of his home office covered in pornographic images.
According to Fowler, society must take into account the atmosphere in which his brother Kevin Spacey grew up, as he stands accused of sexual harassment.
Fowler further said that their father sympathized with Hitler and was in the American Nazi Party. In addition, Thomas Geoffrey Fowler even shaved his mustache in the style of his idol.
Earlier, actor Anthony Rapp said that in 1986 he was sexually harassed by Kevin Spacey who made a move on Rapp in a hotel room. The actor said that Spacey, who was 26 at that time, picked him up, placed him on a bed and climbed on top of him.
Rapp said that he managed to deal with the aftermath of the incident due to his actor training and that he had "locked it away" within himself, but seeing Spacey on screen has been distressing for him since then.
Responding to the alleged sexual misconduct, Spacey said, "I honestly do not remember the encounter, it would have been over 30 years ago. But if I did behave then as he describes, I owe him the sincerest apology for what would have been deeply inappropriate drunken behavior, and I am sorry for the feelings he describes having carried with him all these years," a statement read posted to Spacey’s official Twitter account.
Spacey, whose sexuality has long been the subject of rumor and speculations, said in the statement that in his life he has had "relationships with both men and women" and came out, saying he now "lives as a gay man."
"This story has encouraged me to address other things about my life," Spacey said.
