During the event, Miss Philippines Karen Ibasco was awarded the Darling of the Press gold medal, while Miss Thailand Paweensuda Drouin and Miss Zambia Abigail Chama received silver and bronze accordingly.
The environmental-themed beauty pageant, scheduled on November 4, is held under the auspices of the UN. The winner of the pageant is crowned as Miss Earth, while three runners-up are given the titles of Miss Air, Miss Water and Miss Fire.
