As postgraduate study admission exams near, countless Chinese students strive for a spot to study. Given the limited space in their dorms and the large number of textbooks required for exam preparation, they are forced to study in the library. The endless flow of people, running into the building as soon as the doors open, was captured in a short video on October 27 at the Huanghuai College in the Chinese city of Zhumadian and published on YouTube by People's Daily newspaper.
As seen from the footage, a teacher with a megaphone tries to encourage the crowd to remain calm. Some students have to get up at 5 a.m., to get a better spot in the queue.
