WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Police have been engaged in a standoff after a man barricaded himself inside the Big Bear Sports, according to local media reports.

An armed man has barricaded himself inside the Big Bear Sports shop in the US city of Billings, Montana as, local media reported Saturday. Earlier the day a large explosion was heard in the area and a bomb squad remains at the scene.
According to the RTVQ broadcaster, the suspect drove a vehicle through the front entrance of the shop after an attempt to steal firearms in another shop.
No information about the suspect and the injuries has been received yet, the broadcaster added.
