WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — According to US media reports, a thick fog ruined Donald Trump's plans of visiting the heavely guarded Korean border region. Secret Service agents forced Trump to return back to Seoul, minutes afer the US President's Aircraft had taken off.

President Moon Jae-in of South Korea planned to join Donald Trump to mark the first ever visit of the US and South Korean presidents to the DMZ, the White House pool report said. But after waiting another hour for the skies to clear, both officials canceled the trip to the region that has divided the Korean peninsula since the end of the Korean War in 1953.

Before the failed attempts to visit the DMZ, US President Donald Trump and Moon Jae-in held a meeting, during which they discussed the North Korean issue and negotiated the supply of US weapons to South Korea.
The two parties are at the early stages of discussions and not ready to reach a conclusion on the issue, Yonhap news agency reported, citing a source in the South Korean president's administration.
Later in the day, Donald Trump urged Russia and China, during his address to South Korea’s National Assembly, to downgrade diplomatic relations and cut economic ties with Pyongyang.
"The world cannot tolerate the menace of a rogue regime that threatens it with nuclear devastation. All responsible nations must join forces to isolate the brutal regime of North Korea — to deny it, and any form of it. You cannot support, you cannot supply, you cannot accept [it]. We call on every nation, including China and Russia, to fully implement UN Security Council resolutions, downgrade diplomatic relations with the regime, and sever all ties of trade and technology," Trump said.

Trump is currently on his tour of Asia, which began in Japan on Sunday. During his meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, Trump also discussed the supply of US weapons to Japan.
US President will also travel to China and Vietnam, where he will attend the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum, and will finish his journey in the Philippines on November 12-14.
