Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump have greeted each other and shaken hands during their meeting at the APEC summit in Vietnam.
Their encounter took place during a group photo at the APEC gala dinner as they stood next to each other. The leaders are wearing the Vietnamese national shirts.
According to the Kremlin spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, Trump and Putin haven't spoken to each other.

The Russian and US leaders are scheduled to hold their second face-to-face negotiations on the sidelines of the summit, with the situation on the Korean Peninsula being high on the agenda.
Just a day prior to the arrival of the presidents in the Vietnamese coastal city of Da Nang, Trump has called on Russia to jointly work to solve the North Korean issue, with Kremlin responding that such a proposal is in line with Putin's stance he had repeatedly voiced.

During their first long-awaited meeting on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Germany's Hamburg on July 7, Putin and Trump have talked more than two hours instead of scheduled half an hour concerning the crises in Syria and Ukraine, the fight against terrorism and a new framework to deal with cyber threats.
