Miami International Airport has been declared safe after a temporary evacuation of some areas over a suspicious item.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Miami International Airport has been declared safe after some areas were briefly evacuated over a suspicious item, the local police said.

"The bomb squad has determined that the suspicious item found @iflymia does not pose a threat and the all clear has been issued at this time," the police said Saturday on Twitter.

The airport confirmed the all clear on its Twitter account.

​According to WSVN 7News broadcaster, the item in question was found in a bathroom and turned out to be a fake explosive.
