A 65-year-old man, surnamed Bai, has lost two fingers after he stuck them into a cage with a tiger and a lion, trying to feed the big felines paper money, local news outlets reported. The incident, captured on video, occurred on Wednesday afternoon, when the circus was visiting Jingziguan, a town in China's Henan Province.
As seen in the footage, after Mr. Bai approached the cage, the lion picked up the money and started chewing on it, while the annoyed tiger bit the man's right hand. Rushing to his rescue, a circus employee poked the wild cat until it unclenched its teeth.
The old man, who was reportedly drunk, fainted with half of his ring finger and an entire middle finger bitten off. According to media reports, Mr. Bai was treated in a hospital and is now out of danger.
