"The helicopter's wreckage was discovered one kilometer from Shinovka, a community in the Kirsanovsky district of Tambov Region," a source in the regional emergencies services said, adding that the pilot and passenger had died.
The privately-owned aircraft took to the air on Monday evening. By early Tuesday, the pilot had failed to contact anyone by radio, according to the emergencies services.
It has been reported that the pilot and the passenger were the only ones in the helicopter.
