Ms. Markle has become a new trend-setter after she posed for photographers in a belted snow-white trench coat holding hands with Prince Harry at Kensington Palace as they announced their engagement on November 27.
The chic wide-collared coat designed by LINE, a small Canadian label specialized in knitwear, reportedly retailed for about US $750 and was sold out in a matter of minutes, with the brand's website brought down several times by the flood of desperate buyers.

However, the popular coat, which has been since renamed after Meghan, will soon be available again — the company has already ordered a new batch.
According to company co-founder John Muscat, the coat was presented by the company to Jessica Mulroney, Ms. Markle's stylist and best friend. The future wife of the Prince also reportedly has this model in other colors: burgundy, light gray, black and soft pink.
Could Meghan Markle have been wearing a white coat in honor of Diana’s White Garden? What a lovely thought and she is thoughtful enough for me to believe that is why she did it. 😍 #RoyalEngagement #RoyalWedding2018 https://t.co/akYhHfMMBJ

I graduated from the same college as the women who designed the coat Meghan Markle wore for her first public appearance as fiancée to Prince Harry…I always knew I was connected to royalty. pic.twitter.com/c4ZIAYIL0r
