The athlete claimed to the court that he had tried unsuccessfully to pay the fine.
"What I heard was that I tried my best to pay for it. I attempted to pay it. I don't know… it didn't pay and that's it. I apologise and I want to show my respect by showing up today. I apologise," Mr. McGregor said in court.
According to his lawyer, Mr. McGregor entered into a guilty plea, agreeing to pay the amount specified by the fine.
Conor McGregor recently faced American wrestler Floyd Mayweather in what was known as the 'Money Fight' on August 26, 2017.
