Discover Your Inner Angel With These Human-Sized Feathered Wings
06:00 GMT 30.11.2017 (Updated: 19:32 GMT 19.10.2022) Alexis Noriega, a self-taught costume maker, has taken her passion for the art to new heights through a project called “The Crooked Feather.” She crafts realistic mechanical wings, glues feathers to them and makes them move by using pistons.
According to Noriega, since she made her first pair six years ago and wore them to a cosplay convention, "people have gone nuts over them." Now she creates all sorts of customized wings for her customers, most of whom are beauty or fitness pageant contestants, looking for a unique way to make their costumes stand out.
