Washington DC Police Respond to 'Active Shooter' Report Near White House
20:28 GMT 01.12.2017 (Updated: 20:46 GMT 01.12.2017) Police in the Washington, DC, have cleared the scene after an unconfirmed report of an active shooter near the 1400 block of I Street.
Officials were on the scene and "working to clear the building," a statement from the DC Police Department said. The location was roughly two blocks from the White House.
Police initially issued a 'shelter in place' advisory, there were no reports of injuries.
