MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The police have presented the results of the forensic probe into the deaths of Canadian billionaire Barry Sherman and his wife Honey Sherman.
"The deceased man has been identified as Barry Sherman, 75. The deceased woman has been identified as Honey Sherman, 70. Post-mortem examinations were carried out yesterday and today. The cause of death for both deceased was ligature neck compression," the statement reads.
Sherman was a pharmaceutical businessman, with a fortune estimated at 4.77 billion Canadian dollars ($3.65 billion), according to a recent Canadian Business magazine article. He was also the chairman of the Canadian Apotex corporation with 11,000 employees worldwide.
The company paid tribute to its founder on Saturday, praising his charitable efforts, as the Shermans were famous Canadian philanthropists, making multimillion-dollar donations to charity organizations, hospitals and schools. Honey Sherman was on the board of several civic groups, comprising the International American Joint Distribution Committee, Mount Sinai's Women's Auxiliary and others.

Despite being the 15th richest person in the country, the Canadian billionaire and his wife didn't flaunt their wealth, driving beat-up cars and having a respectively modest house, which has been recently put up for sale.
