The US president predicted that Republicans would start cooperating with Democrats "in a bipartisan fashion" and suggested to start with his infrastructure plan.
Trump also stressed the necessity to invest money in the United States after having spent enough abroad.

After a deadly train crash on Monday in the US state of Washington, which resulted in three fatalities, Trump said his "soon to be submitted" infrastructure plan must be approved quickly.

Both Democrats and Republicans in Congress have called for massive investments to repair aging US roads, bridges, railroads and other infrastructure, with an investment of at least $1 trillion.
