At least one person was killed in a shooting, which took place in Douglas County of the US state of Colorado on Sunday, the Douglas County Sheriff's Office said.

The incident happened after the police officers had arrived at the Copper Canyon Apartments at 5:13 a.m. local time (12:13 GMT) to investigate a domestic disturbance complaint.
So far, there's no information about wounded civilians.
A "code red" was issued in Douglas County because of the incident.The sheriff's office has instructed citizens in the area if shooting to take shelter and "avoid windows and stay away from exterior walls."
Meantime, local sheriff's office initially said about five injured police officers, two wounded civilians, and one deputy sheriff killed. However, during the press conference the sheriff's office put the number of injured police officers at four.
"Deputies encountered multiple gunshots coming from a bedroom within the apartment. It is with a heavy heart that we have to announce that at the conclusion of this incident, Deputy Zackari Parrish with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office was shot and killed in the line of duty by the gunman. Three other Douglas County Deputies, one Castle Rock Police Department Officer, and two civilians were also shot by the gunman," Douglas County Sheriff's Office said in a statement.

Also, the the document confirmed that the gunman was shot and killed by police officers.
In a separate Twitter post, the office identified the gunman as Matthew Riehl, 37. The sheriff's office added that the incident was being investigated.
