In the run-up to the 2018 FIFA World Cup, the Ural tour operators will offer information tours to international bloggers and journalists, Elmira Tukanova, the head of the regional Center for Tourism, told Russian media.
She noted the project is aimed at sharing information about the city and its exciting places. According to her, tours will be predominantly organized for tourists from France, Sweden, Egypt and Japan. “We are most interested in countries which are not focused on the 2018 World Cup only. Our goal is to arouse interest in them, so that the Sverdlovsk region will draw tourists after FIFA is over,” she said.
The 2018 FIFA is due to take place from June 14 to July 15, 2018 in a total of 11 Russian cities – Moscow, Kazan, Yekaterinburg, Sochi, just to name a few.
