"I have no guarantees that new sanctions would not be introduced tomorrow," he told the Rossiya 1 television channel.
According to him, Russia has learnt to live with sanctions.
"I am convinced that the sanctions are also damaging for the United States," the ambassador added.
Earlier in the day, he stated that anti-Russian sanctions are a "road to nowhere," as Moscow will not be intimidated by restrictive measures.

The US Treasury Department has released the list, comprising 114 Russian politicians and 96 businessmen, that may pave way for more anti-Russia sanctions. The report was produced under the Countering America's Adversaries Through Sanctions Act, which was passed by the US Congress last summer and signed into law by President Donald Trump on August 2, 2017. The document specifies, however, that it should not be interpreted as a sanctions list.
The Kremlin has stated that the inclusion of top Russian officials in the list is "unprecedented."
