An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.3 struck Italy on Thursday, 72 km (45 miles) northwest of Foggia, near the Adriatic coast, at a depth of 12 km, the US Geological Survey said.
Earth tremor could be felt in Molise and Abruzzo regions, according to media reports.
On Tuesday, another 4.7-earthquake took place in the province of Campobasso in Molise.
