The US Senate held a vote on Donald Trump's Supreme Court pick Brett Kavanaugh, who is facing sexual misconduct allegations dating as far back as the 1980s. The votes of three wavering senators, Republicans Jeff Flake and Susan Collins as well as Democrat Heidi Heitkamp, were decisive.
The Senate voted 51-49 to limit further debate on Brett Kavanaugh's confirmation.

Last week, the Senate Judiciary Committee voted in favor of Brett Kavanaugh's nomination, but Donald Trump ordered an FBI background check into the accusations after a number of undecided senators pushed for the further investigation.
