The footage made Monday showed numerous cars that were abandoned by drivers trying to escape the wildfires via the 118 Freeway in Simi Valley. However, the drivers had to steer clear of three lines of the road when the side of the thoroughfare became engulfed in fire.
In the meantime, water-drop helicopters tried to put out the blaze that was threatening the freeway, also soaking the cars on a tight bend.
