The American magazine Forbes has published a ranking of the highest paid models in the world, listing their earnings for the year, the fashionistas as a group raked in about $109.5 million in 2018.
In compiling the rating, Forbes used their contracts with cosmetic and perfume brands and other advertising agreements to estimate their earnings.
The rating includes only models that receive most of their income from working in the modelling business, and not from filming movies or having other sources of income.
Second place on the list is occupied by US model Karlie Kloss ($13 million). 2018 was the best in her ten-year career as Kloss managed to make lucrative deals with Swarovski, Adidas, and Estee Lauder.
Model Chrissy Teigen shares third place in the ranking ($11.5 million) with model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. In 2018, she released her own line of dishes, a second cookbook, and became the host of the leading television show Lip Sync Battle.

Brazilian model Gisele Bundchen occupies the fifth spot of the rating along with Cara Delevingne. In 2018, she earned $10 million and published a book about her life called “Lessons”.
Cara Delevingne who also earned $10 million, shares fifth place on the rating with Bundchen. She returned to the rating due to deals with Douglas Cosmetics, Rimmel, Tag Heuer, and Dior Beauty.
Seventh place is occupied by Model Gigi Hadid ($9.5 million). She is the face of the Reebok brand and also created her own collections with Maybelline, Messika, and Vogue glasses.
Bella Hadid, the 22-year-old American model is the youngest on the Forbes list. In 2018, she earned $8.5 million. She is the face of Dior cosmetics, as well as Bulgari and Tag Heuer brands.
Dutch model Doutzen Kroes occupies tenth place with $8 million.
