13:19 GMT 23.01.2019 (Updated: 13:56 GMT 23.01.2019) German Chancellor Angela Merkel is delivering her special address at the World Economic Forum in Davos.
The speech follows the signing of a new treaty on Franco-German Cooperation and Integration by Chancellor Angela Merkel and President Emmanuel Macron in the German city of Aachen on Tuesday. The treaty aims to boost defence cooperation between the two countries, reaffirms their readiness to help if the other one is attacked, as well as focuses on border regions and the facilitation of trans-border projects.
