"To give Bakhtier Makhmudov and Zafarkhon Rakhmatov 15 years in a high-security colony for multiple offences," a judge said.

Both men were detained on 11 December 2017, a day before a planned terrorist attack. During the search, police found detonators and other materials used to make bombs.
"They downloaded a video showing how to make an explosive device, and planned to detonate it at the Moscow Ring Railway station Shelepikha and the Edelweiss shopping centre in Balashikha [a town near Moscow]," a prosecutor said.
Both terrorists pleaded guilty and asked for indulgence, the court's press service told Sputnik. The ruling can be appealed within 10 days.
