"Contrary to disinformation that organophosphorus nerve agents were used in Duma, which was distributed in White Helmets' staged video clips, [OPCW] mission experts found no organophosphorus nerve agents, no products of their decomposition or impurities," Kikot said.
On March 1, the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) published a report by its fact-finding mission on the results of the investigation of the incident in the city of Duma in Eastern Ghouta on April 7, 2018, which claims that a toxic chemical, most likely chlorine, was used in the attack.
Earlier this year, the organisation sent a fact-finding mission (FFM) to Syria in order to gather information on an alleged chemical weapons attack in Aleppo that occurred in November, reportedly injuring at least 46 people.
At the same time, Moscow has accused the Western-backed White Helmets of carrying out provocations in the region and collaborating with jihadists.
