The UK House of Commons is voting on alternative Brexit plans, the eight motions for indicative votes. They include Motion B in favor of a no-deal Brexit on 12 April, Amendment D that urges for a Common market 2.0 with the European Union, which would entail membership of the single market and a customs arrangement.
House of Commons Speaker John Bercow blocked a third vote on May's beleaguered Brexit deal earlier this month after two defeats in parliament. The prime minister must now must win over dozens of Conservative Party lawmakers before a third vote can take place. As her concession was announced on Wednesday, reports emerged that some 40 Conservatives, including arch-Brexiteer Boris Johnson, could switch to backing the deal.
