I Believe I Can Touch the Sky: Little Flying Dragon Jumps on Tree

Subscribe
The flying dragon or Draco Volans, a species of lizard endemic to Southeast Asia can glide the distance of half a football field (over 160 feet or 48 metres) and dive silently, demonstrating a perfect landing.

Not only squirrels, snakes, birds and fish fly, but also lizards. The flying dragon has especially extended ribs covered with a tight membrane that create a collapsible wing helping it glide rather than fly. According to scientists, these lizards could glide long before birds even existed. A video has captured a Draco in flight.
