According to Reuters, two people were killed and two more wounded when a parked vehicle exploded in Anbar's Qaim district, 300 km west of Baghdad. The vehicle was parked in a car wash, the agency added, citing Qaim Mayor Ahmed Mahallawi.
The attack is supposed to have been carried out against members of the Popular Mobilisation Forces, a mostly Shia Muslim state-funded organisation, Reuters says.

Anbar province was previously the Islamic State's last stronghold in Iraq. At the end of 2017, the country declared victory over the Daesh terror group, and asked the international community to assist in restoring the war-torn areas.
