There is no information about casualties, with the military specifying that the incident is being probed.
The incident follows a report the IDF released on Monday, saying it had launched an attack against a Syrian military target in Quneitra after an Israeli fighter jet was targeted by the Syrian military. The Lebanese media reported that an Israeli drone had hit a surveillance system in the south of Lebanon.
Also on Monday, Syrian state TV reported that several people had been injured as a result of an Israeli missile strike on a village in Quneitra province.
Israel has been launching air raids against Hezbollah positions within Syria. Hezbollah, an Iran-backed Shia movement with a presence in Lebanon and Syria, is considered to be a threat to national security by the Israeli authorities.
