Leonid Meteor Shower Peaks Tonight - Video
A spectacular meteor viewing opportunity awaits those who will stand away from city lights lying on their back and looking straight up. The best time to watch is after midnight when the constellation Leo rises above the horizon.
The annual Leonid meteor shower is due to reach peak activity at about 10:40 p.m (EST) on 17 November. Leonid meteor showers take place when the Earth runs into the tail of comet Tempel-Tuttle, which sheds dust and gas particles as it goes through the Solar System once every 33 years.
