A law enforcement official said, cited by AP that four people, including a UPS driver, were killed after suspects stole the driver's truck. The fourth victim reportedly was in a nearby car when shots were fired at an intersection in Miramar, some 20 miles (32 kilometers) north of where the incident began, According to the official, cited by AP on condition of anonymity.
Police have not confirmed the report yet. Earlier in the day, the Miramar Police Department said that only the suspects were killed and no other injuries occurred during the chase.

According to the police, the UPS driver was taken as hostage after the vehicle was carjacked by two armed men in Miramar, Florida. The incident began earlier in the day in Coral Gables, shortly after 4 p.m. local time when the law enforcement agencies responded to an alarm at the Regent Jewelers store in the city's Miracle Mile area.

After the failed robbery of the jewelry store, the suspects stole the UPS vehicle and drove at high speeds into the southern portion of Broward County, running red lights and narrowly colliding with other cars while attempting to escape.

News helicopters followed the dramatic chase and at least one showed it live, with one individual falling out of the vehicle passenger side after several shots were fired. It remains unclear, however, who opened fire first.
