South African Model Claims Miss Universe 2019 Title
03:03 GMT 09.12.2019 (Updated: 03:36 GMT 09.12.2019) Zozibini Tunzi, 26, claimed the prestigious beauty trophy late on Sunday in Atlanta, Georgia, leaving behind dozens of beautiful contestants representing the entire globe at the annual US event.
The South African model was born in the town of Tsolo, in the Eastern Cape province of South Africa. Previously stunning the jury with her beauty, Tunzi defeated her compatriots, to claim this year's Miss South Africa award.
According to her profile, Tunzi discovered her talent in modeling two years ago after she was accepted as one of the top 26 semifinalists of the nation's 2017 pageant but did not claim the crown at the time.
In August 2019, after advancing through several exhausting stages, Tunzi won the title of the most beautiful woman in South Africa - green-lighting her application for the international level.
