The previous mission by Northrop Grumman's Cygnus cargo craft started on 2 November 2019 and ended on 31 January of this year with the craft delivering supplies ranging from food and crew items to spacewalk and scientific investigation equipment.

The launch of the Cygnus resupply mission to the International Space Station was cancelled minutes before the scheduled time.

"It was a ground support [equipment] issue … ," one of the NASA live coverage commentators said, later adding that the time of the next attempt has not been established yet.

An Antares rocket carrying a Northrop Grumman Cygnus CRS-13 cargo craft had to be launched from NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia.
