Eid al-Fitr: Muslims Celebrate End of Ramadan in Tripoli, Libya - Video
10:27 GMT 24.05.2020 (Updated: 11:03 GMT 24.11.2022) Ramadan, one of the main pillars of Islam, is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, observed by Muslims around the world as a period dedicated to strict fasting, prayer, forgiveness, reflection, and doing good deeds.
Muslims in the Libyan capital of Tripoli are celebrating Eid al-Fitr which marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan. After a month of fasting and prayer, many Muslims gather to pray and celebrate with family and friends, attend communal prayers and focus on charitable acts.
