One of the world's most famous landmarks, the Eiffel Tower, reopens to visitors in Paris Thursday, following a three-month closure due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Strict hygiene and distancing measures will be imposed in order to ensure the safety of the monument's visitors and workers, including obligatory mask-wearing and the regular disinfection of public spaces.
Visitors to the city's most famous monument won't be able to use the lifts until 1 July, to ensure a safe distance between people to limit the risk of infection. The very top of the monument will remain closed to the public for now.
