Who's Your Daddy Now? Secretary Bird Stomping Fake Snake
11:00 GMT 03.07.2020 (Updated: 11:09 GMT 03.07.2020) Snakes have many enemies in their natural habitat, with large birds of prey like eagles, hawks, griffon vultures, and kites among them. Magpies and crows are also quite capable of attacking a snake.
A secretary bird has been captured on video kicking a fake snake with its legs. The bird is resistant to snake venom. The way that this bird hunts is considered unique, as no other creature in the animal kingdom hunts in the same manner. The secretary bird jumps around in the direction of the snake, disorienting it. Then it throws the snake into the air before tossing it to the ground. The birdie subsequently starts stomping on the serpent, killing it with either its beak and claws.
