The discovered turtle was an adult Indian paddle turtle, which is one and a half to two years old. The unusual appearance is due to albinism.
"The whole shell and the body of the rescued turtle is yellow. This is a rare turtle, I have never seen one like this," Wildlife Warden Bhanoomitra Acharya said as quoted by the ANI News.
After examination, the animal was released back into the wild. In total, only two turtles with albinism have ever been found in India.
