Three senior producers from The Ellen DeGeneres Show have "parted ways" with the project following an internal investigation into complaints of bullying, racism, and sexual misconduct against them, Warner Bros stated on Monday as quoted by The Guardian.
The decision comes amid a weeks-long scandal after it was revealed that the production of a show meant to spread a message of kindness and happiness, had been carried out in a toxic atmosphere.
The accusations of a hostile environment were first brought up by former employees in a BuzzFeed article in July.
On 17 August, DeGeneres, 62, spoke to members of her team via Zoom in what was described as emotional and apologetic address, with the hostess stating that she was "not perfect" and that it was "heartbreaking" to read claims of misconduct on her part.
