Daily Beast columnist and 'Russian media analyst' Julia Davis accused US President Donald Trump of idolising 'dictators' including elected Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

US President Donald insists it's beyond doubt his rival Joe Biden would be far from the sharpest tool in the box of world leaders.

Trump tweeted his response to Daily Beast columnist and self-styled 'Russian media analyst' Julia Davis' charge he was "Still fanboying for dictators" - including elected Russian president Vladimir Putin.

Trump has nicknamed Democratic Party presidential candidate Biden "Sleepy Joe" and "Slow Joe" for his mumbling speech and often rambling, confused answers to questions.

At an election rally in Nevada on Sunday, Trump said "the gloves are off" in the presidential race.

Trump's latest incendiary tweet prompted praise from amused Twitter users.

Others agreed with Davis labelling Trump a "dictator".
