Last year, thousands participated in the rally, organised by the Federal Association for the Right to Life which is run by the Catholic Church.

Live from Berlin as anti-abortion activists descend on the German capital from all over the country for the annual "March for Life".

The March for Life has been held in the German capital since 2008. It is supported by religious, primarily Christian, groups. The protesters walk through the centre of Berlin while opponents organise a noisy costume procession.
