Earlier this week, Israeli authorities convened for a meeting on the coronavirus situation in a move to discuss an outline to allow the reopening of schools and businesses, but decided to keep them closed until morbidity has further decreased.

People are gathering in Tel Aviv on Thursday, 22 October for an anti-government protest amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, which has led to numerous restrictions and business closures.

Representatives of various groups, including business owners who have been hit hard by the virus-induced restrictions, are expected to take part in the protest.

According to recent information provided by the World Health Organisation (WHO), the total number of confirmed coronavirus cases has nearly reached 304,000, with the death toll standing at 2,258.
