Sputnik is live from Bangkok as anti-government protests continue in Bangkok days after members of the Thai parliament voted on options for changing the constitution, with most of them opposed to a proposal demanded by protesters that would include changes to the role of the monarchy.
The Wednesday vote came amid months of protests; demonstrators are demanding that the country's constitution be rewritten, that Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha resign, as well as reforms to King Maha Vajiralongkorn's monarchy. Such demonstrations have been met with counter-protests in support of the monarchy.
