On Tuesday, PSG and Istanbul walked off the pitch after a fourth official allegedly abused the latter’s assistant coach Pierre Webo. UEFA has announced that an investigation has been launched and a new referee team has been appointed.

Sputnik is live from the Parc des Princes Stadium in Paris, France as Paris Saint-Germain football players are arriving ahead of the UEFA Champions League match against Istanbul Basaksehir.

On Tuesday, the Champions League match between PSG and Istanbul was suspended after a referee, Sebastian Colţescu, allegedly made a racist comment towards Istanbul Basaksehir assistant coach Pierre Webo. The match was suspended at the 15th minute after Istanbul players appealed to the main referee. Later, UEFA announced that Tuesday’s game would be resumed on Wednesday.
